Hi, I’m Atiba and I am one of the co-Pastors of VRI. I am primarily responsible for helping you, our leadership development,
our vision and direction, and the teaching team of VRI. I am passionate about helping people discover their GOD given potential and
developing it entirely.
BASIC STUFF
I’ve lived in Maryland/DC area since I was 9. I grew up in Montgomery county, went to Blair HS, and
University of Maryland (for a while). UM taught me that I love to learn but don’t like class, my freshman year I read all my course work in
the first 2 weeks of the semester and spent the rest of the semester playing spades.
I am married to my best friend, we’ve been friends since high school. We both are home during the day together most of the
week and never seem to get tired of each other (at least I’m never tired of her). We met as members of a group rebuilding
race relations in the Washington DC area. In all of our endeavors I get a vision for where we should go and she gets us there while I sleep in the
passenger seat (hey getting a vision is hard work).
My wife and I have 3 kids to die for (2 girls and 1 boy). Mila our oldest defines what it means to be an older sister.
Destiny our youngest is just learning to communicate and has more personality than some adults I’ve met. TJ is all the way live all the
time…he is a walking comedian. We moved to the Ellicott City/Columbia area to plant VRI in 2006.

INTERESTS and FAVORITES
- Places: Trinidad, I’m originally from Trinidad. Toronto, Ca – I love the melting pot of culture in Toronto. Miami – nuff said.
- I-Pod Playlist: Lots of sermons (I am a pastor), Superchick, Toby Mac, Rush of fools, Steve Fee, Mandisa, Casting Crowns, Earth wind and Fire, and Sanctus Real.
- Books: almost anything non-fiction
- What do I TiVO: Nothing…however I do watch House, Law and Order, NCIS, Psych, basketball, and football.
- Movies: comedy and intelligent love stories (that does not say Chick flicks). In movies I love to laugh or experience real emotion.
- Hobbies: aquariums
- Dislikes: emails that start with ‘FWD’
